The 2016 opening round of Outdoor Nationals kicked off at Hangtown and what an amazing race! 250 class was dominated by Monster Energy’s Joey Savatgy finishing a 1-1 for the day and the overall win! Two rookie debuts were surely not to disappoint in this class either. Geico Honda’s Tristan Charboneau and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Austin Forkner proved they are there to run with the big hitters finishing a respectable 6th and 13th first moto and 14th and 7th in the second moto respectively! Cooper Webb took third overall for the day and Alex Martin takes second.

The 450 Class gave Ken Roczen a solid start to the season knocking off a 1-1 statement performance to kick off the opener! His impressive speed and intense riding gave second place overall finisher Ryan Dungey and third on the podium-Eli Tomac some sure fire determination for next round at Glen Helen as the man to beat out there!
