PRO MOTOCROSS SOUTHWICK 2016

The return of Southwick proved to be an incredible welcome back to the circuit! Austin Forkner and Justin Barcia set down the fastest qualifying times in the 250 and 450 class respectively. The sand was flyin and the fans were cheering!

It’s been a long time coming to see Eli Tomac back up to his speed potential and he sure did make a statement in the sand. Tomac was able to take a 1-1 for the top spot on the podium and Roczen matched him with a 2-2 taking second overall and retaining the points lead. Barcia was involved i a first turn pile up and managed to work his way up to 6th place first moto and an impressive third second moto for the third spot on the podium.

The 250 Class has seen an impressive Cooper Webb the past two weeks and Southwick added to his winning streak. Jeremy Martin took the win first moto setting down some blazing laps in the sand. JMart finished fourth in moto two which gave him the second overall. Webb was a 2-1 for a first overall and giving him a 37 point lead over Savatgy for the championship. Fastest qualifier Forkner took his first overall podium i third place with a 5-2 on the day. Pretty incredible race back at “The Wick.”
